When I paint my spirit is let loose...
About me
I am a landscape artist based on the Helford River in Cornwall. I paint outside, using gouache, and bring these to the studio to develop into larger acrylic and oil paintings. I studied at the Slade School of Art and moved to Cornwall in 2020 to become a full time artist. More about my work can be found in the recent article "Finding sanctuary" in Drift Journal Issue 51, December 2025.
New 31 July 2026! I am very excited to launch my latest collection of paintings which are of St Mawes and Roseland. They are now available through the Waterside Gallery in St Mawes, you can view the collection here and email the gallery for more information or to buy amanda@watersidegallery.co.uk. This collection is the start of a series which we will publish in book form next year, with further exhibitions planned.
My second Helford sketchbook will also be published later this year and new paintings from this second book are now available to reserve here, and you can order my first book Helford Sketchbook #1 here (limited copies left).
