Swimming in pink, Grebe

Painted on Arches Huile paper, with a deep yellow ground, protected with a clear wax coat, mounted on board and framed with a St Ives tray frame in white wood. 

I have been working on these panoramic sunrise paintings for a couple of weeks, building up layers of oil and cold wax. I wanted to capture the amazing feeling of immersion in colour and light of a sunrise swim. This painting captures the moments before sunrise, where the sky is glowing pink and the water too. This painting is mounted on board so I can frame them without glass, sealed with wax. Price includes a white painted wood St Ives moat frame.
