Wild beauty

SOLD

Painted on Arches Huile paper, protected with a clear wax coat, mounted on board and framed with a slab tray frame in white wood.

Inspired by a week spent in the beautiful West Penwith, walking high above Zennor on the moors. The landscape here is so different from my every day landscape, here the beauty is wild, rugged, and remote. In September the moorland is an abundance of colour with wild flowers and heather. The ancient field boundaries near Zennor carve patterns into the land, long memories of ancient farmers who worked this land. The week was a fabulous late summer weather, intense blue skies overhead which I have converted to this glorious brilliant pink to heighten the feeling further.
