Painted on Arches Huile paper bonded to board, set in a white wood slab frame 8cm width. Painting size is 76 x 56cm.
I have been experimenting with using very fine rigger brushes to draw back in, great for picking out the surface lines on the water and creating the feeling of space and perspective. This piece is all about the intricacies of the ripples and reflections on the river in early morning light, and a single boat moored up in the blush pink waters.
