Kaleidoscope bay

This painting is available through the Summerhouse Gallery in Marazion. Click here for more details.

Deep blue bay. The water looks unreal, made up, too good to be true. How can it be so inky? Mesmerising, the colour shift from the pink sky to the shallows confounds, playing with the space, rendering the trees crimson in outline. A lone boat is moored in this kaleidoscope.

From My Helford Sketchbook collection. Painted in gouache, with an accompanying photo of handwritten text and location photo. Framed in a white wood St Ives frame measuring 32 x 25.5cm.
