My first bout of COVID, hit like a train. Days of fever and fatigue. Outside the May heatwave accelerated the flowers blooming. Dripping wisteria, clouds of neon pink azaleas. I had to paint it. Would I still know how? Urgent, fevered, but also vibrant and full of life. A celebration of getting better.
