Baby you're a firework, Grebe

SOLD

Painted on Arches Huile paper, with a deep pink ground, protected with a clear wax coat, mounted on board and framed with a St Ives tray frame in white wood which measures 8cm.

The title comes from a favourite song of mine by Katy Perry, which is all about having self belief and just being yourself. It’s a very empowering song, and I experienced the same feeling swimming in this spectacular sunrise under pink pepper clouds that burst overhead like a firework display. It was simply magnificent to behold, and this painting aims to capture that feeling of joy and majesty of that dawn, on that day, in this special Helford River bay. Pink is a recurring theme in my paintings, it is such a life affirming and uplifting colour.

This also looks great with the painting "A winter pink swim in the Helford River" - if you wanted to buy them as a pair the price would be £1300, please message me.
