A pop of gorse, Helford River

SOLD

Inspired by the joyful sight of the gorse flowering on the headlands above the Helford. At a time of year when the weather can set in for a few days and Cornish mizzle takes over, I just had to capture the pop in the gloom. Not a paint colour I use often, it made a change to work with it in such an intense form.

Oil and cold wax on Arches Huile Paper, mounted on cradled board, framed in a white wood St Ives moat frame (8cm).
